Slim Abida
Music can be an act of resistance. Even more so when you live in Le Kram, in the suburbs of
Tunis, Tunisia and that you play metal music as well as gnawi, jazz or reggae.
Slim Abida is the founding member of Jazz Oil, a band with which he has toured Europe. He comes from a family of union representatives and feminists and knows too well what political
commitment is about. From the early days of the Jasmine Revolution, he rallied against Ben Ali’s dictatorial regime along with a number of artists like Emel Mathlouthi.

JAZZ OIL
The group was founded in Tunis in 2008 around an unexpected duo of instruments: the bass and the Qanun.
Nidhal Jaoua introduces a new playing technique on this traditional 78-string instrument created in the 9th century in the Middle East.
As for Slim Abida, he steps out of the usual framework reserved for bassists by using his instrument as a soloist.
It is these artistic choices that give JAZZ OIL a unique musical identity and color

Roman C
Romain Rousset made his first live experiences in 2014 as the lead singer and guitarist with “DDLP,” a cover band focused on Anglo-Saxon rock and funk music.
In parallel to this project, in 2016, he released his solo album titled “Musical Stunts,” featuring 10 tracks that blend pop, rock, funk, and electro under the pseudonym “Blue Monkey.”
Various musicians encountered on the road contributed to giving these songs a live dimension.
The album found its audience, and three years of touring followed with a total of approximately 200 performances.
