Romain Rousset made his first live experiences in 2014 as lead vocals and guitar with “DDLP”, a cover group focused on Anglo-Saxon rock and funk music. In parallel with this project, in 2016, he released his solo album entitled “Musical Stunts”, including 10 Pop tracks tinged with Rock, Funk and electro, under the pseudonym “Blue Monkey”. Various musicians met on the road will bring their contributions to give these songs a live dimension. The album found its audience and three years of touring followed with a total of around 200 performances.
In March 2019, “Blue Monkey” changed skin and reinvented itself under the name “Roman C” with a bias towards Folk-Rock music in the service of a refined composition where the guitar and vocals occupy the central place.
Between 2019 and 2022, “Roman C” engages in the work of writing new songs in French, taking as major references artists such as Alain Bashung, Bob Dylan, Kurt Vile, The War on Drugs, to name but a few. than them. From this period two additional EPs were released which are currently being released (singles) on streaming platforms.
In March 2022, he won “The Paris Métro Musicians’ Public Prize” organized by the RATP. In January 2023, “Roman C” sets up a group project in Paris and invests time with his new team of musicians to work on his repertoire of compositions.
